Critically Endangered: Bulmer’s Fruit Bat

First of all, this is not a picture of a Bulmer’s Fruit Bat, for the simple reason that I couldn’t find one. I chose this image from the multitude of bat pictures on Wikimedia commons.

This bat lives in a cave in New Guinea, and I wrote this bat because there are so few left, that plural use may not be viable in the near future.
The biggest reason for this extinction is once again caused by humans.
They are hunted, and this should create a fury of every intelligent person on our planet.

The mothers carry around their baby bats while they forage–an action that generates endearing qualities of affection and defense for their batlings.
Many bats provide services of eating insects and spiders, and our lives would be deplorable if our grandchildren only read about these wonderful creatures in stories.

Please pray for our endangered animals, write to governments or donate to the sites below.
